THE FINER DETAILS
Which wooden plate size should I choose?
Choose by serving moment. Use the 6-inch plate for welcome bites, bread, cake, and dessert; the 8-inch square plate for appetizers, salads, lighter courses, and cocktail-hour service; and the 10.25-inch plate for dinner and fuller portions. Review the exact product page because depth and tested load guidance also affect the right choice.
What is the difference between the two Wooden Plates products?
The 8-inch square option contains 60 matching plates for appetizers, salads, desserts, and lighter courses. The round set contains 25 six-inch plates and 25 10.25-inch plates, creating exactly 25 coordinated two-course place settings before spare plates are added.
How many wooden plates should I order?
Plan one clean plate per guest for each course or serving station, then add 10–15% for replacements, seconds, and late additions. A two-size set counts as two separate plate uses per guest. The 60-count 8-inch pack can cover 50 guests for one serving moment with 10 plates left as a practical buffer.
Do I need bowls as well as wooden plates?
Add bowls when the menu includes soup, dips, dressings, yogurt, saucy sides, or foods with substantial free liquid. Flat or shallow wooden plates work best for foods that do not need the containment of a deeper bowl.
Which natural variations and use limits should I expect?
Differences in wood grain, tone, and surface pattern are expected. Heat, oil, moisture, and load performance can vary by wood species and construction, so follow the tested guidance on the exact product page. Contact Leaf with Life if a plate arrives cracked, contaminated, strongly odorous, visibly splintered, or with an edge that does not feel suitable for serving.
